We hope you have had a nice weekend. Shame the good weather didn’t last!
This week, our focus is going to be on PSHE as we have missed our trip to Crucial Crew. At Crucial Crew, we usually learn about how to keep safe in different situations, which is very important as you are going to secondary school.
First Aid – MONKEYS, FOXES and TURTLES WILL DO THIS IN CLASS
St John’s Ambulance is a key organisation you may have seen offering first aid at big events. They have shared with us some information about how to support people if they are in difficulty. Please look at the four webpages below. Use the information to make a leaflet to help you remember what to do in these circumstances.
Broken Bones and Fractures – https://www.sja.org.uk/get-advice/first-aid-advice/bones-and-muscle-injuries/broken-bones-and-fractures/

Fire Safety – MONKEYS, FOXES and TURTLES WILL DO THIS IN CLASS
Read the information on the page about what to do if you discover a fire and watch the clip. Make a poster to share what you have learnt about keeping safe. http://www.syfire.gov.uk/safety-advice/what-to-do-if-you-discover-a-fire/
Transition – Starting Secondary School – ALL CHILDREN – This will not be done in class Look back over the information you have had over the last few weeks (see past posts or Google Classroom). All Saints have asked us to let you know that there is a maths challenge on the All Saints Website – this is optional.
Science – ALL CHILDREN – This will not be done in class
This week, we are doing the fourth lesson on rocks, how can we identify different types of rocks. You can do this any day this week when you are at home. Remember, it is in the Y5 section because we have a two year rolling programme. https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/how-can-we-identify-different-types-of-rock
Art – For critical worker group and children who are at home (not Foxes, Monkeys and Turtles)
Please can you draw a picture of yourself in the style of Pete McKee and upload these to Google Classroom (classwork section).
These two video clips have some information about Pete McKee and his style. Don’t forget there are also the clips he put on You Tube at the start of lockdown which were about how to draw cartoon people.
