Macbeth

We read the play. Then we acted out the whole play as a class while sitting on the field. Each person took a part around the circle while Miss Hartman read the story.

Next, in pairs, the children rehearsed and then performed the scene between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth after the murder of King Duncan. Act 2: Scene 2

Swords and horses were used today!

Romeo and Juliet

Yesterday, we read the play and wrote Juliet’s diary the night before she took the potion.

Today, the children performed the whole play as a class. See if you can spot the scenes!

After that, in groups of three, they rehearsed and performed the fight scene between Mercutio, Tybalt and Romeo (with swords!)

Onboard

One child in our class attends Onboard Skatepark every week, a hub where he enjoys activities such as BMX, skate, scooter and parkour.

Today, the Onboard team came into school. They set up ramps and activities on the playground. All of the children enjoyed the scooter session.

Classification keys

Our new Science topic is ‘Living things and their habitats.’

Today we have found out how to use keys to identify and classify organisms, but we did this using sweets!

The children enjoyed the task, and there were some really interesting discussions.

We ate the sweets afterwards!
