It was wonderful to see most of you last week and we are really looking forward to seeing you again this week.
We will continue to use the Oak Academy maths lessons this week. We are covering the next set of lessons on decimals and measures. These are:
- Problems with units of area.
- Volume of cubes and cuboids
- Convert between standard units of mass.
- Solve problems involving calculations of measure.
- Convert between units of time.
As before, please submit a comment in the private comments box to say how you have got on. You only need to do this if you are not in school on that day. If something was tricky, please tell us what that was and how you managed to solve it. We are leaving feedback, including questions, so please do check back and answer these. Continue to play TTRS for five minutes a day.
We are using the Oak Academy lessons this week on information leaflet. The lessons are as follows:
- Reading Focus.
- Reading Focus
- Identifying Features
- Writing an information leaflet.
As with the maths, do them on the correct day and leave a comment in the private comments to let us know how you have got on.
This week, we are doing the third lesson on rocks, how is sedimentary rock formed. You can do this any day this week when you are at home. Remember, it is in the Y5 section because we have a two year rolling programme. https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/how-is-sedimentary-rock-formed
ART – For the Critical Worker Group and Children at Home
In class, we are looking at street art in Sheffield. If you can, take a walk around the city centre and look at all of the street art, or look at this website.
One of the artists is Phlegm. Find out about him and have a go at copying his style. Add your art to the google classroom.
How does his artwork make you feel? Do you like it?
