Millhouses Park

Everyone had a lovely day in the park today. We played at the skate park, had a picnic lunch, then walked through the park to the football pitch and basketball court.

A helpful dog managed to return the football after it was kicked into the river!

We ended the day with a trip to the café – a lot of milkshakes were sold today!

Author visit

Helen Rutter, author of ‘The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh’ visited the school yesterday. She told us about how she got the idea for her first book, and explained a bit about the writing process. The children had good fun inventing their own simple story ideas – some were very strange! Helen asked them to write their ideas at home, and bring them in to school.

Coronation Picnic – Friday 12th May

Hi Parents

Just a few reminders about tomorrow.

We would be very grateful for donations of cake/scones to share (the PTA will be taking voluntary cash donations for these on the afternoon).

Children can come to school wearing red, white or blue. In Y6, we will get changed at lunchtime once we have finished the tests.

Children can bring an extra snack to enjoy in the afternoon.

Please let school know whether you will be collecting your child early to join them on the field.

Thank you.
