Women and Girls in Science day

Yesterday, 11th February, was Women and Girls in Science Day. To mark the occasion, Y6 had a very special visitor: Victoria Smith from Victoria Smith Opticians.

She told us all about her career and explained lots of the science behind how our eyes work and why people might need glasses.

Making Simple Electronic Games

Yesterday, we used our knowledge about circuits to make an electronic game in the style of Operation!

Properties of Quadrilaterals

In maths today, we have been revising the properties of quadrilaterals with a fact swap. We then wrote down everything we could remember in our books. We made quadrilaterals on our peg boards to show the properties. After this, we made keys to try to sort the shapes.
