All children are invited to wear their own clothes tomorrow in return for a donation via Parentpay to Children in Need.
Everyone enjoyed the session with Simon today. The children competed in teams to stack the cups as quickly as they could. It was a very noisy session!
We watched the online tutorials from Chris at Skipping School, and then went outside to work on our skipping skills. Today we tried double bounce, speed bounce, side straddle and hop and swap. We are definitely ready to try the more advanced skipping activities tomorrow!
We all enjoyed the squash session at Hallamshire Squash Club this morning. After the warm-up, we watched the coaches play, before trying the game on the courts. Everyone worked really hard to develop their skills including serving and volleying. Well done everyone!
Everyone enjoyed spending time on their bikes and scooters in the sunshine this afternoon.
We have studied the work of Paul Nash and Christopher Nevinson. We did a flat chat activity, then we used a viewfinder to select part of the painting to recreate ourselves. We carefully mixed the colours to match the original.
In Y6 and Y5/6, we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Day with a mindfulness walk, colouring, self-care top tips, self-reflection journals and meditation.
We shared the poems we brought in from home, then wrote our own poems about our dream day. Most of them involved huge breakfasts!
